I was really skeptical after reading about the fermentation process but I went ahead and tried it anyways. This tea is exceptionally smooth and has the very unusual characteristic of tasting like slightly under ripe mulberries (not pure green mulberries but mid stage pink or dark red mulberries). I recommend taking the filter paper off the birds nest before you steep the tea. You avoid any potential filter paper taste in the tea and you get better water/tea surface contact for faster brewing.
The price is defiantly right so if you’re on the fence buy a small amount and try a cup. If you don’t like it, chuck the rest. You’ll be out three or four bucks and you’ll be a little smarter next time.

According to a new book on tea I was reading, the caked tea is the oldest of forms, so I was excited to try pu-erh. I love it, and I like the idea of drinking something a little different.

PLEASE pass the Pu-erh!!, 2.26.2007

I was given some Pu-erh Toucha as a gift; after smelling it I wasn't anxious to try it. After several months I decided I should try it before discarding it. I LOVE it! I drink it with Hazelnut flavored CoffeeMate. It is a dessert in itself. My opinion: Disregard the smell & don't pass on the Pu-erh.
