This is really a French Press coffee maker, but I use mine for tea from time to time. It works quite well, as long as you don't smash the leaves all the way into the bottom of the pot and as long as you evacuate the tea out of the press right after the brewing process. My favorite part of using it is that its a great open way to let the tea leaves bloom with out being stuck in a metal strainer!
