I bought 4 ounces of this tea from the Tower Store five days ago, and I'm very glad I did. I only have a few teaspoons left, and I've been using the leaves for three or more long infusions each. This tea is fantastic! The price may be a bit higher per ounce for this tea than most, but IMHO, it's completely worth it. The leaves are perfect for several short infusions or, as I prefer, at least three solid three-to-four-minute infusions. Just remember: if you use a spoon or scoop to measure your tea, you'll almost certainly need to cut back your usual "dose" to compensate for the high density of these leaves. I neglected to adjust my measurement during my first trial run and filled the infuser to just under a quarter of its full height with leaves, like normal. After a four-minute infusion, the leaves had already managed to lift the cast-iron lid clear off of the pot! Color: A pale shade of pear Aroma: Honey and flowers Taste: Has a mellow natural sweetness that never becomes cloying like some sweeter teas (especially the sweeter flavored teas) can be. I have a bit of a sweet tooth - I generally add sugar to anything darker than green tea - but there is no need here. The "full floral taste" description is definitely spot-on, also. I like how it manages to preserve some of the vegetal aspects of a good green tea while completely avoiding the grassiness and astringency that I dislike. Has hints of non-citrusy fruits, like melons or peaches, and a pleasantly creamy mouthfeel. Finish: Short and sweet. Makes you want more!
