I would have to disagree strongly with the review that says this is a mild tea. This tea is coffee dark when steeped correctly and is not for those wishing for anything light or sweet. It packs a wollop and I am darn glad it does. I have replaced all my usual caffeinated drinks in the morning before work with this mighty brew. No more coffee or pop for me in the morning. With a bit of hazelnut creamer and some turbinado sugar this tea will make you sing! The slower and more gradual release of caffeine from loose leaf tea, as opposed to the quick jolt and harsh let down from coffee or pop, is what gets me to lunch time, where I inevitably finish off the pot I made that morning! Your first infusion will be the best one, but I still enjoy the 2nd and 3rd. I would recommend not infusing beyond 3 because in my opinion the whole point of this tea is how strong and dark it is. Enjoy!

Mild yet interesting, avoiding the mustiness sometimes encountered in pu-erh. The color is like rich red leather and the taste is unlike any other sort of tea, very intricate and pleasant.
