This rooibos blend is a new favorite behind the scenes here at The Tea Smith and we have brought this to you for summer in celebration of our 20th anniversary! We started with an organic Green Rooibos that is naturally caffeine-free from the Cedarburg area of South Africa, known for its variety of uses and for its high antioxidant content. We flavored this with organic blueberry flavor, strawberry flavor, and blended freeze dried raspberries and strawberries to create a berry delicious caffeine-free blend that is sure to please iced or hot. We love it as-is, or as a tea-lemonade, and are also inspired to create some fun mocktails with this blend, so check back in with our blog for new creations coming soon!

Rooibos, or 'red bush tea', is made from the Aspalathus linearis bush, native to South Africa. The needle-like leaves are smooth and shiny, yielding a distinctive flavor with notes of earthy vanilla and tobacco. The health benefits of rooibos are believed to rival or surpass those found in green tea. Rooibos is high in antioxidants and polyphenols, making it useful as a soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic, perfect for consuming if you have a cold or sore throat.
