Genmaicha
This Japanese green has a surprise inside: toasted rice! Genmaicha has a fresh aroma that mingles with the nuttiness of the rice. As a visual treat, some of the rice has popped, resembling miniature popcorn kernels. This tea has more body than other greens and goes well with meals.

Bold, complex flavor. Conjures up memories of toasted seaweed. Recommendations: serve during breakfast or dinner.

Not my cup of tea..., 7.19.2008
Reviewer: Jin, (Omaha, NE,)
I remember I was very excited to try this tea when I first saw it. It looked very interesting and unique. Unfortunately though, I was extremely turned off by the smell and the taste. To me, it smelled and tasted like burnt popcorn. This is not my cup of tea.
