This is an intriguing and complex offering from Wuyi China. This Wuyi oolong has a mid-level oxidation then carefully fired to add depth and strength. The first infusion imparts a slightly smooth sweet flavor with the influence of the fruitwood used to fire the tea. Later, you will notice the bold and lingering finish. Great for multiple infusions.
Insider Tip: To truly enjoy this tea, start with a short infusion and infuse for longer each time after. Find out which infusion if your favorite! We find #2/3 to be quite interesting...

This oolong is a Rock Tea. Labeled as such because the plants are found in small patches of rocky soil. This helps the plant to mature slowly and develop deep and complex flavors
Oolong teas are commonly known as partially oxidized because the oxidation allowed in processing varies between that of a green tea and that of a black. Varying between 30-70% oxidation, oolongs are produced into two main varieties: a darker, open-leafed style (such as our Dark Goddess), and a greener, rolled-ball style (such as our Jade Oolong). Darker oolongs tend to have a soft, fruity character with undertones of stone fruit. Greener oolongs offer a more green infusion with a more floral character.
