Tea - noun - a hot drink made by infusing the dried crushed leaves of the tea plant in boiling water.
At The Tea Smith, we believe that tea is so much more than just leaves in boiling water! The hundreds of teas in our selection represent thousands of years of craftsmanship from dozens of cultures and countries from around the world. Tea and herbs have a rich history of medicinal uses and many of the most well-known teas are steeped in legend and history. Ti Kuan Yin is said to be a gift from the Iron Goddess of Mercy, Guanyin. Monkey Picked oolong is believed to be picked by specially trained monkeys. (Okay, just kidding on that last one!)
In addition to its rich history and medicinal applications, tea is most purely an opportunity to pause, connect, and reflect. The act of preparing your favorite cuppa is a gift to yourself and something your can share with those around you.
